Percezione senza centratura

Si narra che qualcuno abbia detto ad un Maestro: “Desidero la capacità di vedere, poiché voglio diventare saggio”.

Il Maestro rispose: “ La percezione priva della saggezza è più dannosa dell’ignoranza”.

Gli fu chiesto: “ Com’è possibile?”

Il Maestro rispose: “ È simile alla storia dell’avvoltoio e del nibbio. L’avvoltoio disse al nibbio: ‘Posseggo una vista migliore della tua, poiché posso scorgere un chicco di grano laggiù in quel campo, mentre tu non vedi niente’. I due uccelli planarono per prendere il chicco di grano che l’avvoltoio poteva vedere e il nibbio no. Quando furono più vicini al terreno anche il nibbio vide il chicco di grano. L’avvoltoio continuò la sua discesa e lo inghiottì. Così rovinò a terra poiché quel chicco era avvelenato”.

Perception without being centred
